The entry-level Chardonnay from the leading quality winery in Mendoza. Bodegas Catena Zapate, to give the winery its full name, is an impressive operation with a winery shaped as a pyramid floating amongst a plain of vineyards stretching out from the fulcrum of operations housed in this extraordinary building.

This Chardonnay has been assembled from grapes covering four different vineyard locations, each providing their own components to the final blend, and harvested at slightly different times to create a balanced wine.

Fermentation is split between barrels and stainless steel, only 60% go through malolactic fermentation, and all elements aged in French oak for between 6 and 8 months. It is a very versatile wine that could work perfectly as an aperitif or accompany a rich chicken main course. It’s ready for drinking today and it slips down very easily.
